Our Work

Selfless service, every week.

MYS follows the path of karma yoga: uplifting others, especially the underprivileged, through yoga. This is how.

  1. Yoga at schools

Weekly classes and My Yoga Sadhana Journey camps in Tamil, Chinese and national schools, kindergartens and a refugee school. Teachers report calmer classes, better focus and children who are kinder to each other.

  2. Yoga camps

The National Yoga Camp, run with MAYI, gives schoolchildren five days of yogic living: asanas, breathing, cleansing, concentration, meditation and the values of yama and niyama.

“Upon our graduation most of my fellow classmates were soon engaged in voluntary and caregiving activities armed with yoga teaching knowledge. I approached the Headmaster of SJK (T) Saraswathy, Jalan Klang Lama to conduct weekly free yoga sessions for the school children and have been teaching there since.”
K. Saravana Sealan, Yoga Instructor (Learn to Teach, November 2011)
